FM Naija lets you stream Nigerian radio, podcasts and audiobooks on the web and in our mobile app. This page explains what information we keep, why, and how you can delete it.
To listen, you sign in with an email address and a username — no password, and we never email you to verify it. We store:
We use this only to run these features for you. We don't send you marketing emails.
While a signed-in user plays a radio station, the app tells our server which station is playing, along with the username and a random device identifier. We use this to show which stations are trending. These records are kept for a short time and are removed when you delete your account.
Radio streams, podcast episodes and audiobooks are played directly from their publishers' servers (for example radio stations, podcast hosts and LibriVox). Those services receive your IP address when you play their content, as with any website, and are governed by their own privacy policies.
In the FM Naija app, tap your username at the top of the screen and choose Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, favorites, synced history and listening activity. You can also email us to ask for deletion.
Downloads are saved only on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app.
FM Naija is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
